A Multi District litigation is often confused with a Class Action Lawsuit. In a Pradaxa Lawsuit Multi District Litigation all or the majority of the current and future Pradaxa Lawsuits would be heard in one court under a single Judge however, each individual Pradaxa Lawsuit plaintiffs case would remain a separate lawsuit that could be individually settled or tried on the merits and specifics of the individual case. In a Pradaxa Class Action Lawsuit, all cases would be essentially heard as one case. For a Pradaxa Class Action Lawsuit to occur the injuries suffered by all of the plaintiffs would need to be similar enough to form a “class” in which the facts of one plaintiffs case are considered to be identical or near identical to all other plaintiffs in the class. Pharmaceutical Lawsuits rarely become Class Action Lawsuits as it would be very uncommon for a large group of Plaintiffs to sustain injuries and damages that were similar enough for them to be considered a “class”.
