Jim McCullar, one of the US lottery winners, claimed his Mega Millions jackpot prize of $190 million in Washington.
McCullar acquired the second-largest jackpot prize in the lottery history of the US. He received a giant cheque, which has been awarded by the Washington State Lottery Director Bill Hanson in Olympia, Washington, today.
McCullar is a 68-year-old guy who lived in Ephrata, Washington with his wife Carolyn MacCullar, 64. Was married for more than 40 years He was father of six and has more than 20 grand children. He was working as a real estate agent, and one of the luckiest people who picked the lucky winning numbers in the Mega Millions drawing last Tuesday. He and his wife cannot believe the fortune they received.
He and the other winner from Idaho are going to share equally the $355 million jackpot winnings in the previous draw.
However, lottery officials said that the other winner of the lottery still not contacted them for verification and to claim his prize.
The McCullar couple shared their experienced on how they purchased their tickets. Jim said in an interview that it was his wife’s idea to buy a couple of lottery tickets on their shopping in Safeway last Sunday.
The winning numbers used by the couple were very significant for them. It was merely based on their birthdays. The numbers that have been drawn in the lottery jackpot were: 4, 8, 15, 25, 47 and the Mega Ball 42.
Aside from winning the jackpot prize, the couple’s second ticket also won small prize of $150 for winning four numbers on the lottery.
The Safeway store where the couple purchased their ticket will receive $ 50,000 cash.
